The Kensico 5K Run/Walk begins and ends at the Franklin Montross, Jr. Memorial Pond. The 3.1 mile route takes you past the pond, around a lake, and up and down avenues of sycamores, oaks, and maples. There is a challenging hill after the Mile 1 marker as Seneca Avenue climbs past The Birches section of the cemetery. Water Stations will be set up at the top of the Seneca Avenue hill and at the Mile 2 marker.

For walkers who may want to do a 1.5 mile route that avoids the Seneca Avenue hill, we suggest following the first portion of the route, then complete the circle around Mineola Lake, turn right to continue up Tecumseh Avenue, take the first left past Kensico Gardens, and then the first right, for the final leg back to the Finish Line. We will have route maps available to show the shortcut and staff posted at Mineola Lake to direct you.

On event day, we recommend that everyone use the Tower Entrance off Grasslands Road/Route 100 to reach the parking and sign-in area.
